Our Story

Brian and Dodie are not new to Sauble Beach. Dodie's family has always had a place at Maryville Lake (great fishing- ask for details). When Brian and Dodie started their family, they also had a place at the "lake". With the lake only a hop ,skip and a jump from Sauble, it was a no-brainer when we started to look for an investment property and somewhere for our growing family(so far, 4 grandkids) to call a vacation home. With Brian's background in construction , the task of renovating 3 cottages -Loft, Swordfish and Bigg, seemed like a challenge we could take on. We purchased the properties in Sept of 2020 and have been renos up the whazoo ever since. Our plan is to provide the best beach vacation experience for our guests. Each year the plan is to upgrade and make each cottage better than the year before. We are very excited to have you as our guests, and hope you come back year after year. Build memories here at WrightBytheBeachCottages, just as we are doing with our family! 

Since we have been coming here to Sauble Beach for well over 50 years, we thought we would compile a list of some of our favorite places!!! We have also provided some pamphlets from  some local businesses for you to enjoy in each cottage. Please take a minute to look over our recommendations.

If you love the Boards we have made in Loft, Swordfish and Bigg(charcuterie , cutting and grill) let us know. They are all hand made by Brian(check out website at WoodDoneWright.com)-He also made the resin coffee tables in each cottage , more to come for purchase- simply amazing!!  And if you love the shampoo and conditioner supplied, this is sold by Wright Hair & Co. And of course, don't forget the amazing sandy Beaches and simply the BEST sunsets on the planet( head down to the observatory around 830(ish)pm -you wont be disappointed.
